Swarnalatha passed away in chennai on September 12 morning following a lung infection. The 37-year-old, hailing from Palakkad, was admitted to a private hospital in the city on Sunday morning after she had difficulty in breathing. The singer had been undergoing treatment for lung infection for over a year and did not record for films during the period.
